About Me
If you look at my LinkedIn profile you will see it says: Consultant Coach Mentor
I started in consultancy back in 2008 and loved it so much I became a co-director with my company Wildwood Ecology in 2010. Jump forward a few years and I became the sole owner and Managing Director.
Being a business owner I have to wear many different hats. Some fit and suit me very well. Others are a little more challenging to find or wear. It felt like I was wearing the wrong hat from time to time. Or maybe I didn’t know how to wear the hat right? Were there any other hats I needed to wear, or could I actually give some of my hats away to someone else who they would suit better?
That’s when I sought out the help of my own coaches and mentors. They helped me find my values, strengths, and uncover my own resistances to change and limiting beliefs. And so much more!
Because of that support, and by taking action that truly aligns with my own values, I have become a better:
- business owner
- colleague
- father
- friend
- husband
- leader
- son
As someone deeply committed to personal and professional growth, I value achievement as a testament to hard work and dedication, always striving to reach new milestones. I believe in merit, recognising and rewarding effort and skill in myself and others, ensuring that success is earned. Curiosity drives my continuous learning and exploration, pushing me to ask questions and seek new knowledge. I embrace humour as a way to navigate challenges with a positive outlook, knowing that laughter can be a powerful tool in overcoming obstacles. Above all, I hold fairness as a core principle, ensuring that my actions and decisions are just, balanced, and considerate of everyone involved.
Away from coaching I lean in to my values when spending time with family and friends, as well as enjoying my own company. I’m a musician (very much an amateur trombonist), rehearsing and playing in a couple of local bands. I brew (and drink, in moderation) beer and can talk about the brewing process until my friends all doze off. An occasional runner, but not an athlete. I also love reading, listening to podcasts and hiking.
Things I don’t enjoy doing include social media – I reluctantly engage. Driving long distances – although I’m working on my enjoyment of the ‘journey’. Wooden utensils – for some strange reason, the thought and act of consuming food with a wooden fork or spoon makes me nauseous!
Coach and Mentor
I originally trained as a coach with Barefoot Coaching, and a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the European Mentoring & Coaching Council.
As a professional coach and mentor you can expect to achieve transformational results. But what does that actually mean?
It means, I’m here first and foremost to listen and ask incisive questions. I will give you a safe and confidential space to hold better conversations. You will have the freedom to think with no judgement and together we will unlock your hidden potential.
But only you can make change happen and so I will be there to help you with accountability. Supporting you during, between and after each coaching session.
Need more information before you’re ready to work with me?
Have a read on some of the commoner questions you may have about coaching and mentoring and how I work. Visit my ‘Curiosity‘ page to find the answers you may be looking for.
Still not found it? That’s okay, I can still help before you want to make that call. So you can either email me directly at hello@hiddenpotentialcoaching.net or use my simple contact form. Which ever works best for you.
PS – I am really friendly, so the consultation call will not commit you to anything at all. Actually, it may not only answer the question you have, but maybe also the questions you didn’t know you wanted to ask. Give it a try!
